Schools

I love working directly with schools, and I would be happy to chat about what your school requires. I can be commissioned to work with schools on an as-required basis, and some of the services I offer include:

  • Comprehensive assessments to inform the Education, Health and Care Needs Assessment process.

  • Reviews for children with an existing EHCP to provide updated outcomes and provision.

  • Targeted assessments focusing on specific areas of need, such as specific learning difficulties.

Packages of Support

If you are likely to require more than one or two assessments per year, or would like to ensure consistent support over time, we can work together to create a flexible package of support which is personalised to your school. Support can also be shared across an academy trust if required. Packages could incorporate:

  • Individual assessments to support EHCP applications or to proactively support children at the SEN support stage.

  • Reviews for children with existing EHCPs, such as those at key transition points.

  • Consultations with staff around individual or groups of children.

  • Training for staff within twilight sessions, half-day or full-days.

  • Training and support for Early Career Teachers

  • Parents drop-ins and workshops.

  • Supervision for school staff including SENCos, resourced-provision teachers and ELSAs

Where schools require multiple individual assessments across a year, I provide a one hour complementary planning meeting per term to map out support for the term ahead.

Local Authorities

I complete in-person statutory assessments commissioned by Local Authorities as part of the Education, Health and Care Needs Assessments process.

I can also carry out assessments for schools where Lancashire Local Authority have agreed to reimburse the cost of a private Educational Psychologist. This involves a comprehensive assessment, including consultation with parents and staff, classroom observation and individual work with the child where appropriate. Reports are provided within 4-6 weeks and include long-term outcomes and provision, as required for the EHC Needs Assessment process. Pricing

At present, individual assessments range from £800 to £1200 depending on the type of assessment being sought and location. Please note that due to capacity I do not currently complete work commissioned directly by parents.
